Linda- Thanks for signing up, but I have not yet added the new newsletter sign up link. However, as long as you are already signed up on my Substack, your email will be transferred over. Also, be sure to add my new email, john@weissjournal.com to your email contacts, so my new newsletters won't end up in your spam or promotions box. I hope to add the updated email newsletter signup to my new site very soon.
Many thanks, Dwelling Place. My new site at johnpatrickweiss.com is live and I've moved my email list from Substack to a new service, and I will be sending out batches of emails in the coming days. My new email will be john@weissjournal.com.
Thanks Eric. There are many fine writers on Substack despite the noise, and I'll continue reading them. But for me, I want more control over my site and my readers' experiences.
Good news! I do enjoy many of the writers on Substack but all of the notifications are exhausting, and I haven’t been able to stop them. It has become another project to manage. Like you, I want to spend more of my precious and limited time reading good books!
Thank you, good decision. For me Substack was cumbersome and didn't seen as special as your writings always have been. See you again soon!
Thanks Otto, I'm optimistic readers will like my new set up better.
Thank you for the heads up. I will subscribe.
Thanks Jacqueline.
I’m pretty sure I’ve subscribed to your new site. Check it for me to be sure thanks John
Best, Linda

I agree with your take on Substack. Lots of strong opinions going on there, which becomes depressing after a while. Keep up the good work!
